ทะเลบัวแดง/蓮花湖/Red Lotus Sea

ทะเลบัวแดงตั้งอยู่ที่หมู่ที่ ๕ ตำบลบ้านเดียม อำเภอกุมภวาปี จังหวัดอุดรธานี ในบึงหนองหาน แหล่งน้ำจืดธรรมชาติขนาดใหญ่ มีพื้นที่กว่า ๓๖ ตารางกิโลเมตร ซึ่งอุดมสมบูรณ์ไปด้วยพันธุ์ปลา พันธุ์นก และพืชน้ำจำนวนมาก ถือเป็นระบบนิเวศที่โดดเด่นและเป็นที่สนใจของนักวิชาการทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศได้มาศึกษาค้นคว้าอย่างต่อเนื่อง ช่วงเดือนธันวาคมถึงเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ของทุกปี ดอกบัวแดงจะเบ่งบานมากและสวยงามมากที่สุด.

นักท่องเที่ยวจะมองเห็นดอกบัวแดงบานเต็มผืนน้ำของหนองหานสุดลูกหูลูกตา จึงเป็นที่มาของคำว่า “ทะเลบัวแดง” หากสนใจจะชมทัศนียภาพต่าง ๆ ภายในหนองหาน เช่น พันธุ์นกหรือพืชน้ำ ท่านสามารถนั่งเรือเที่ยวชมได้ตลอดทั้งวัน นอกจากทะเลบัวแดงที่เป็นไฮไลต์จังหวัดอุดรธานีแล้วในบึงหนองหานยังเต็มไปด้วยนกจำนวนมากไม่ต่ำกว่า ๗๐ ชนิด อาทิ นกอีโก้ง นกกระยาง นกนางแซงแซว นกนางแอ่น นกเป็ดแดง นกเป็ดผี นกอีแจว เป็นต้น.

อีกทั้งจังหวัดอุดรธานีถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งเมืองสำคัญของภาคอีสานที่เป็นศูนย์กลางเชื่อมต่อการเดินทางทั้งในภูมิภาคอีสานเอง และเชื่อมโยงไปยังประเทศเพื่อนบ้านอย่าง สปป.ลาว และหากพูดถึงแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดอุดรธานีแล้ว ก็ถือว่ามีความหลากหลาย ทั้งแหล่งท่องเที่ยวธรรมชาติที่งดงาม แหล่งโบราณคดีล้ำค่า และสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอีกหลายแห่งที่อยากชวนไปเยี่ยมเยือนกัน.

ด้วยความสวยงามของทะเลบัวแดง จึงทำให้เกิดกิจกรรมล่องเรือชมทะเลบัวแดง ชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นในยามเช้า และชมธรรมชาติของที่นี้ พร้อมวิถีชีวิตยามเช้าของบึงหนองหาน โดย “ทะเลบัวแดง” ตั้งอยู่ห่างจากตัวเมืองอุดรธานีประมาณ ๓๔ กิโลเมตร นักท่องเที่ยวเมื่อมาถึงจุดหมายก็ตรงไปยังจุดลงเรือ เพื่อจะไปให้ทันเก็บภาพพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นอันงดงาม หากต้องการมาชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น แนะนำให้มาถึงทะเลบัวแดงราวๆ ๐๖.๐๐-๐๖.๑๕ น.

สำหรับเรือที่จะใช้ล่องไปชมความงามของทะเลบัวแดง จะมี ๒ ขนาด คือ

1. เรือท้องแบน​นั่งได้​ ๖​ คน ตามกฏหมายการขับเรือเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว ราคาลำละ​ ๕๐๐​ บาท

2. เรือหางยาว​ นั่งได้​ ๒​ คน​ ราคา​ ๓๐๐​ บาท

โดยคนขับเรือจะพาแวะไปยังจุดต่างๆที่มีดอกบัวให้ชมและถ่ายรูป โดยจะใช้เวลาประมาณ ๑ ชั่วโมง – ๑ ชั่วโมง ๓๐ นาที (รวมระยะเวลานั่งเรือไป-กลับ)

The Red Lotus Sea is located in Moo 5, Ban Diem Subdistrict, Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani Province, in the large natural freshwater lake, Nong Han. Spanning over 36 square kilometers, it is rich in fish species, birds, and aquatic plants. The ecosystem is unique and has attracted researchers' attention from Thailand and abroad for continuous study. Each year, the red lotuses bloom in abundance from December to February.

Tourists can see the entire surface of Nong Han covered with blooming red lotuses, which gave rise to the name "Red Lotus Sea." If you're interested in viewing the scenery in Nong Han, such as bird species or aquatic plants, boat trips are available throughout the day. Besides the highlight of the Red Lotus Sea, Nong Han is home to more than 70 species of birds, including purple swamphens, egrets, drongos, swallows, lesser whistling ducks, little grebes, and jacanas.

Udon Thani is also an important city in Northeastern Thailand. It serves as a central transportation hub for the region and connects with neighboring Laos. The province offers a variety of attractions, from beautiful natural sites to valuable archaeological sites and many other places worth visiting.

Due to the beauty of the Red Lotus Sea, it has become a popular activity to take a boat trip to see the blooming lotuses, experience nature, and enjoy the morning life around Nong Han. The Red Lotus Sea is located about 34 kilometers from Udon Thani city. Once tourists arrive, they head to the boat dock to capture the beautiful sunrise (if you want to see the sunrise, it's recommended to arrive at the Red Lotus Sea around 6:00-6:15 a.m.).

As for the boats used for touring the Red Lotus Sea, there are two sizes available:

1. A flat-bottom boat that can seat 6 people (according to the legal requirements for tourism boats) for 500 THB per boat.

2. A long-tail boat that can seat 2 people, costs 300 THB per boat.

The boat operator will take you to various spots where you can enjoy and take photos of the lotuses. The trip typically takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, including the time for the round-trip journey. 

蓮花湖位於烏隆他尼府龜拍瓦比縣（Kumphawapi District）班迪安分區（Ban Diem Subdistrict）第 5 村（Moo 5）的自然淡水湖「農函湖」（Nong Han）內。農函湖面積超過 36 平方公里，擁有豐富的魚類、鳥類和水生植物。這裡的生態系統獨特，吸引了泰國及國際的研究人員持續進行研究。每年 12 月到 2 月，紅蓮花盛開，遊客可以看到整個農函湖的水面都覆蓋著盛開的紅蓮花，這也是「蓮花湖」名稱的由來。如果你有興趣欣賞農函湖的風景，例如觀察鳥類或水生植物，湖上提供全天的遊船服務。除了蓮花湖這個亮點外，農漢湖還是超過 70 種鳥類的家園，包括紫水雞、白鷺、卷尾鳥、燕子、赤頸鴨、小䴙䴘和水雉等。

烏隆他尼市也是泰國東北部的一座重要城市，作為該地區的交通樞紐，並與鄰國寮國相連。這個省提供各種景點，從美麗的自然景觀到有價值的考古遺址，還有許多其他值得參觀的地方。

關於遊覽蓮花湖的船隻，提供兩種船型：

1. 可容納 6 人的平底船（根據旅遊船的法定要求），每艘船費用為 500 泰銖。

The Red Lotus Sea is a large natural freshwater resource, rich in various bird species, fish species, and aquatic plants. It is a unique ecosystem that attracts the interest of researchers both domestically and internationally. The red lotus flowers bloom in abundance from December to February, showcasing their peak beauty. Visitors can witness a vast expanse of blooming red lotus flowers covering the water surface of Nong Han as far as the eye can see, giving rise to the name "Red Lotus Sea."

蓮花湖是大型天然淡水資源，富含多種鳥類、魚類和水生植物，構成了一個獨特且備受國內外學者關注的生態系統。每年從12月到2月期間，紅蓮花會盛開到最美的狀態。遊客能看到整個湖面被盛開的紅蓮花覆蓋，無邊無際，這便是「蓮花湖」名稱的由來。
